At the 25^th Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS 2019) in Cancún, Mexico, two representatives from the Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences – Mona Möstl (a graduate) and Professor Matthias Goeken – teamed up to present a paper on “Success factors in project management: a systematic review of ten years of research findings”.

The paper was submitted in April, reviewed by two independent scholars, and then accepted as “completed research” for presentation at AMCIS 2019 and publication in the conference proceedings. The paper builds on the bachelor’s thesis written by Johannes Schopp, who is also a graduate of the Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences. It provides a systematic literature review investigating what factors have positive or negative effects on project management and determine its success.

The Americas Conference on Information Systems is held annually by the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the leading professional association for individuals and organisations engaged in the research, teaching and practical application of information systems. The conference is considered one of the leading events in the West for presenting a broad variety of research projects that have been conducted by and for IS and IT academicians. Every year, researchers and practitioners from around the world come to hear papers and panel presentations selected from among a total of over 700 submissions.

The title of this year’s conference was “New frontiers in digital convergence”. The conference, which takes place in a different city every year, celebrated its 25^th anniversary in 2019.
